In the center of downtown Houston, 1001 McKinney’s redesigned art deco inspired space leads tenants and visitors back to the golden age of the 1940’s.

Houston’s McKinney Building from 1947 went through a comprehensive renovation in 2020, which brought back 1001 McKinney’s original 1947 art deco style with streamline furniture, ornamental light fixtures, and a monumental art deco style mural. Immense detail in the wood paneling to the chandeliers, all bring attention to the spectacular 10 foot tall by nearly 100 linear foot mural that spans across the entire lobby.

PROCESS WORK
Tim Huhn put three months of hard work into this mural. From pencil sketches to the first layer of paint, Huhn’s work in progress is another masterpiece of itself.
